About CORRA

CORRA is the Canadian Overnight Repo Rate Average (Valet AVG.INTWO). Current: 2.29% on 15 Sep 2026. Canada’s risk-free overnight rate; the Bank of Canada publishes it and does not set it.

Chart and long-run stats use month-ends; the headline is the latest daily print. From 28 Aug 1997 to 15 Sep 2026 (350 months): mean 2.39%, median 2.26%; low 0.10% (31 Dec 2021), high 6.02% (30 Oct 1998). Not the overnight rate target, and not a mortgage or deposit rate.

Reading this series

CORRA, the Canadian Overnight Repo Rate Average, is the risk-free overnight benchmark for the Canadian dollar, calculated from repo transactions in Government of Canada securities. The Bank of Canada publishes it from its Valet API as series AVG.INTWO; history here begins in 1997. The Bank does not set CORRA — it is a market rate — so it moves with overnight funding conditions and is not stepped. It is distinct from the Bank's overnight rate target, which is a policy setting.

The headline is the latest daily print, while the chart and long-run statistics use month-ends. Read the value with its as-of date, then the "versus the previous reading" line for the most recent move. Mean, median, low and high summarise the observations in this build and are not official figures. Chart and Table show the same data in two forms, the range buttons only filter what is drawn, and Explore adds zoom and pan only when requested. CORRA is a benchmark rate, not the overnight target and not a mortgage or deposit rate.

About this desk

The Australia desk leads with the RBA's cash rate target, then New Zealand's OCR and the US federal funds rate, with the rest of the build's series after them. The cash rate is the RBA board's policy target for the overnight money market, published in the F1 daily and F1.1 monthly tables; the page uses the daily target for the headline and the monthly history for the long chart. Because it changes only at board meetings, the series is drawn as steps.

All desks show the same official series, reordered toward one economy; the figures do not change with the desk. Values are republished from official files without alteration. The build publishes no Australian mortgage or deposit rate, because no official series for those is ingested — the desk omits them rather than estimating. This is not financial advice, and readings may lag their source.
