About Cash Rate

Cash Rate is a small official-interest-rate desk. A Younivi publication from New Zealand. There is no research floor, no sales desk and no invented masthead of analysts.

The product is narrow on purpose. Each page shows one official series: the latest number, a few summary statistics, a chart, a table, a short explanation, and a citation back to the file the number came from. The model is the old data-site idea — one headline figure, the history underneath it — not a trading terminal and not a newsroom.

Younivi publishes this as an information project. It is not a bank, not a lender, not a financial-advice provider, and not an authorised financial-advice firm. Nothing on the site is a recommendation. If you want advice about a loan or a deposit, talk to a person who is actually allowed to give it.

The working name of the site is Cash Rate.

Data is republished from official sources. We do not alter values. We do delay, because we rebuild from files rather than from a real-time feed. Read the methodology page for the ingest steps and the disclaimer page for the legal ones.

English-speaking desks live at short paths — /nz/, /au/, /us/, /uk/, /ca/, /de/, /fr/, /it/, /ea/, /ie/, /jp/, /in/, /kr/, /tw/, /br/, /mx/, /ch/, /se/, /no/, /za/, /sg/. Those pages only reorder the menu and the wording. Euro-area desks share the ECB deposit facility series. They do not invent a local policy rate we have not ingested.

Source and method. Headline figures come from official files: the RBNZ B2 and B3 workbooks, the RBA F1 and F1.1 tables, FRED DFF and FEDFUNDS, the Bank of England statistical database, the ECB Data Portal, the Bank of Canada Valet API, the Bank of Korea base-rate list, the CBC Statistical Database, and the BIS central bank policy rates collection for eight further economies. Each series page names the table, the series identifier, the licence and the local filename, and the methodology and disclaimer pages set out the rest.

Sourcing and editorial model. We republish official figures rather than commissioning estimates, present no forecast or recommendation, and rank nothing as a better or worse place to borrow or save. An economy appears because a source publishes it, not because Younivi endorses its policy. Where a source does not publish a figure the page omits it; no gap is filled with an estimate, an interpolation or an older value.

Corrections and independence. When a value or citation is wrong we fix the build and regenerate the site; a correction comes from the source file or from a corrected reading of it. The site carries advertising through Google AdSense, and advertising has no role in which series we publish or how we describe them. Advertisers cannot influence a page, and we do not accept payment to include or exclude an economy.
