About this desk

France does not set its own policy rate in this build. The France desk leads with the ECB deposit facility rate, the euro-area policy rate, then €STR, the euro overnight benchmark, followed by UK and US rates. France's monetary policy is set by the ECB Governing Council, so the desk uses the shared euro-area series rather than a Banque de France rate that does not exist as a policy instrument.

Germany, Italy, Ireland and the /ea/ desk show the same two ECB series. Values come from the ECB Data Portal and are republished with attribution; every desk carries the same series in a different order, so the figures do not change when you switch. The build ingests no French retail lending or deposit series, so those pages are absent rather than estimated. Nothing here is financial advice, and readings may lag their source.
