About CORRA
CORRA is the Canadian Overnight Repo Rate Average (Valet AVG.INTWO). Current: 2.29% on Sep 15, 2026. Canada’s risk-free overnight rate; the Bank of Canada publishes it and does not set it.
Chart and long-run stats use month-ends; the headline is the latest daily print. From Aug 28, 1997 to Sep 15, 2026 (350 months): mean 2.39%, median 2.26%; low 0.10% (Dec 31, 2021), high 6.02% (Oct 30, 1998). Not the overnight rate target, and not a mortgage or deposit rate.
CORRA, the Canadian Overnight Repo Rate Average, is the risk-free overnight benchmark for the Canadian dollar, calculated from repo transactions in Government of Canada securities. The Bank of Canada publishes it from its Valet API as series AVG.INTWO; history here begins in 1997. The Bank does not set CORRA — it is a market rate — so it moves with overnight funding conditions and is not stepped. It is distinct from the Bank's overnight rate target, which is a policy setting.
The headline is the latest daily print, while the chart and long-run statistics use month-ends. Read the value with its as-of date, then the "versus the previous reading" line for the most recent move. Mean, median, low and high summarise the observations in this build and are not official figures. Chart and Table show the same data in two forms, the range buttons only filter what is drawn, and Explore adds zoom and pan only when requested. CORRA is a benchmark rate, not the overnight target and not a mortgage or deposit rate.
